David Cartwright
David Cartwright
David Cartwright was born in 1981, and raised in a Golden Age of Saturday morning cartoons and Supermarionation, Sunday afternoon reruns of Lost in Space, and Land of the Giants and Weekday evening spots reserved for Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 21st Century.
From that time and forever more he has been an avid consumer of Science-Fiction, Horror and Fantasy, encompassing the likes of Herge’s Adventures of Tintin, Asterix, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Farscape, The Walking Dead and Friday the 13th. He has also delved into the works and worlds of such authors as Robert Asprin, Robert Rankin, Terry Pratchett, Gail Carriger, Martha Wells and James Herbert.
David has been a Jack of many trades but, so far, a master of none studying in Media and Counselling, then working mostly in manufacturing whilst making an undeniable nuisance of himself where predatory HR, corporate and commercial culture were concerned.
Since taking to writing novels full time in 2017 David has also found himself writing for one or two notable TTRG titles.
He lives in Hampshire, England with his family, home media library, a growing collection of flannel shirts and his unruly facial hair.
David’s new novel will be publishing next year.
